  • CAITLIN CUNNINGHAM

  • Director of Operations

    Caitlin is the Director of Operations for Fit Kids America of Los Angeles County. Caitlin has over 10 years experience of coaching and working with children. She is a San Diego native who has been with FKA since 2015. Her favorite classes to teach are Cheer, Arts and Crafts, and Cooking. She is also a 200Hr Certified Yoga Trainer through CorePower Yoga. Caitlin is a UCLA alumna and is excited to introduce, and share her passion for, Fit Kids America all across Los Angeles County.

    "I am a San Diego native; a kid who grew up taking FitKids classes; a FitKids coach throughout college; a UCLA alumna; and now FitKids operator; and it is my absolute pleasure to bring everything I know and love about Fit Kids America to LA! My goal with Fit Kids has ALWAYS been about giving back to the communities I was once in, and to be a key role in creating community ties! Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey in LA County. We're just getting started..."

MANAGEMENT

  • Executive Assistant

    Cayla is the Executive Assistant of Fit Kids America of Los Angeles County. Cayla first began working with Fit Kids in 2016 as a Cheer and Hiphop coach. Now she assists with the growing Los Angeles County branch! Cayla enjoys baking, drawing, and playing video games... and eventually hopes to share some of these interests to LA! 

  • Senior Manager

    Hayden is the Senior Manager at Fit Kids America of Los Angeles County. Hayden oversees everything that goes on at FKA LA! He is also a huge sports fan. Hayden currently plays baseball and flag football, and he enjoys basketball, football, soccer, frisbee golf and kickball. 

  • Associate Manager

    Faith is the Associate Manager at Fit Kids America of Los Angeles County. This is Faith's first year working for FKA, but she has 6 years of managing experience and 12 years of experience working with children! When Faith isn't in the office, she enjoys going to the gym or hanging out with her dog, Zelda!

FIT KIDS TEAM

  • Austin

    Austin is one of our Culver City coaches who also grew up locally! He was a high school athlete playing soccer and running track, and he just recently graduated from college with a degree in Kinesiology and is starting to further explore the world of sports.

  • Hailey

    Hailey has been a soccer coach for the past two years. She finds passion in the sport and hopes of working in the soccer arena with her future career. Working with kids has been something that she has always stuck with. She has even been a counselor for multiple camps since she was thirteen.

    "Combining working with kids and coaching soccer has been nothing less than a dream for me. My favorite part about working as a soccer coach is the amount of joy and passion kids have to learn to be the BEST soccer player ever. Even better than me! :)" -Coach Hailey

  • Jacqueline

    Jacqueline has been a fitness coach for 2 years now. She is very passionate about helping others learn about mental and physical health. She loves teaching people how to implement healthy habits and routines into their life’s. 

    Currently she is working on her BBA in Global Marketing. She also enjoy going hiking, running and anything that has to with going out doors.  


    "Hey it’s Jacky! Being able to guide and watch my students fall in love with being active all while having fun is my main goal. I hope to help them gain confidence in a new skill wether it’s mentally, emotionally or physically. Last but not least, create memories & have fun!"

  • Jacqueline

    Jacqueline was a student athlete and is aware of the importance of balancing education and sports. Her profession as a community health educator and passion for soccer lead her to be part of the Fit Kids America as a soccer coach.

  • Janeth

    Here is Janeth. A valley girl at heart working to create a strong community to help others grow together and pursue dreams. Always on the move to discover ways to help the youth and see their potential. Her passion with coaching is creating a safe space to express yourself through art and movement. Is a certified yoga teacher and art coach with a love for dancing since high school.

  • Jonathan

    For several years, Jonathan taught Drama/Musical Theatre to children K-6 while pursuing a career in music and media studies. His goal with FKA of Los Angeles County is to keep the next generation moving through soccer and more fun outdoor activities.

  • Javyn

    Javyn is a devoted and passionate person who strives for a better future. He has years of experience working with kids; most notably, he coached a basketball team to become one of the best in their district. He is also certified in mindfulness training, helping both kids and adults alike. At the same time, Javyn is a student mentor to his younger peers and volunteers for organizations that focus on providing kids with less opportunities a better quality of life.


    "One of my greatest passions in life is to inspire others to chase after the best version of themselves. I am thankful to this program for granting me the opportunity to work with the kids. I hope to not only leave a positive impact on them, but to also see them reach their fullest potential, and have fun while doing it."

  • Lydia

    Lydia is a sports enthusiast with years of Sports Industry experience. From working at Nike WHQ, to assisting with NBA and NBL youth camps during professional offseasons, Lydia also stayed committed to her position as Head Athletics Sports Coach at Brooklyn Friends School in Brooklyn, NY for over 11 years. She is extremely passionate about working on many levels of fitness programs to keep kids active and safe, bringing joy to children's hearts and minds. 

    “I have always had a deep passion for working with young people in all capacities. Being part of a program that offers everything under one umbrella is what I am very pleased to be part of. Bringing them the dynamic of teamwork, unity &, most of all, to enjoy the time they are having is extremely important to me.“

  • Mayumi

    Mayumi hopes to inspire kids to be more active and lead healthy lifestyles. Her favorite sports are basketball and volleyball, but she also loves brain games and arts and crafts. Mayumi hopes FKA will continue to expand so that more kids in Southern California will have the chance to have a blast while building healthy habits early in life.


    "As a kid, I always loved going to camp or to the local YMCA. I’m so excited to finally be able to be on the other side, and motivate kids to have tons of fun while emphasizing the importance of health and wellness. I wish that my family would have been more informed about nutrition and creativity about exercising early on, rather than reactive to health concerns. I also believe playing sports is a great way to build team building, leadership, and communication skills.”

  • Neyda

    Ever since she was 4 years old, soccer has always been a big part of her life. Neyda received a full ride scholarship at a D1 program while getting her degree in Psychology. She is currently working on playing professionally, and at the same time wants to continue expanding her horizons in coaching and giving back to her community. This is one of the many reasons she is so happy to be a part of FitKids America. “Being involved in sports has taught me so many life lessons along with creating the best memories I still carry through this day. I hope to create fun and memorable experiences for my students while teaching them how to live a healthy and active lifestyle.” -Coach Neyda

  • Preston

    Preston, known as Coach Presto by his students, has years of experience teaching theater and dance to middle schoolers and highschoolers in the LA area. He now hopes to teach the younger generation the benefits of recreational activities through fun and engaging games and drills. His positive attitude inspires both the kids and coaches alike!

  • Sabrina

    Sabrina has been working with kids since 2017 at UCLA UniCamp, Think Together, & ARC Education. She enjoys teaching dance, paint, & poetry to help better children's mental health while allowing a space for kids may express themselves freely. She is a Certified Nurse Assistant with passion in nonprofit based work and currently co-works at The California Reinvestment Coalition advocating for more funding to low-income communities of color.

    "My long term goal is to create my own nonprofit to support kids within the arts. Art, in general, helps better a child's mental health. Growing up, I benefited from the Arts through dance, painting, and poetry so I would love to share the same benefits with other children."

  • Simon

    Simon has played soccer at all levels throughout his life and has an undying passion for the sport. He has also worked with kids at all different age levels, from preschool to high school, for many years. Additionally, he is currently the Parliamentarian of his YMCA Youth and Government chapter.

    “I hope that I will be able to have sports and exercise become the same thing to my students as it is to me, something healthy to do but more importantly something fun that brings joy, happiness, and community.” -Coach Simon

  • Travis

    Travis is a former camp counselor and has two years of coaching experience. Travis' favorite classes are basketball, dodgeball, kickball, soccer, volleyball, and yoga!

    "My name is Travis Torres. I enjoy working with kids and seeing them grow. Being a coach is more than teaching the kids skills but also being a role model for them. I enjoy spreading acts of love, peace, and joy to heal the world and make the world a better place." -Coach Travis

  • Venecia

    Venecia made a life changing move to California at a young age, where she was able to discover a love for sports through Rugby and Track and Field. After graduating college with a degree in Art Studio, she is excited to see what else she can create with Fit Kids America.
